TOUCH THE EARTH WITH NATIVE PEOPLE PRE-TRIP INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE PLAN AHEAD Gates open 9:30am. We recommend that all visitors arrive no later then 11:00am, Gates close at 2:00pm. When you arrive at check in please have a new and accurate count for the passes you are purchasing to assure a quick and easy check in. Our event offers a festival environment that may involve 2 to 4 hours, depending upon the pace of your group. In the event of light rain you may want to bring umbrellas. If there is heavy rain and storms, the program will be rescheduled for a rain date provided at the end of the scheduled week. In the event of bad weather, operation will be decided by 7:30 am. by the office. Inform your bus company of program location and send them our map. Please inform the children to respect the animals at our program. Do not hit or throw things as at them or pull ears and tails. Feed them only food provided in the program, as we do not want our animals sick. Brown bag your lunches, there may be limited seating, so be prepared for a frontier-style lunch. You may want to bring mats, or blankets to sit on. There will also be concessions available for purchase such as: pizza, snacks, and soft drinks etc... We will also have a Trading Post so that children may purchase souvenirs, We will include a price list so that teachers are aware of pricing in advance and can inform students and parents. Please make a copy of this list to send home to parents. Face painting, animal feed, games, and pottery will be provided for an additional fee. Please give every teacher in your group access to all trip information. Passes are available in advance, or at gate. |
